DHAKA: Habibur Rahman Mizan, councilor of ward no. 32 of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), was detained from Sreemangal on Friday (Oct 11) while he was about to flee to India, said Rab.

Being tipped off, Member of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) picked him up from border area of Sreemangal Upazila of Moulvibazar early in the morning. 

ASP Mizanur Rahman, senior Assistant Director of Rab (Legal and Media wing) told Banglanews that as part of ongoing anti-corruption drive, councilor Habibur Rahman Mizan has been detained. He was trying to flee to India through Sreemangal border.
