FENI: A local leader of Jubo League, youth front of ruling Awami League, was hacked to death by some unidentified miscreants in Sadar upazila of Feni on Thursday (Oct 10) night.

The deceased was identified as Rabiul Haque Manik, son of Nurul Haque of ward no 4 of Fazilpur UP and a member of the working committee of the UP Jubo League. 

Omar Haider, In-charge of Fazilpur Police Outpost, confirmed the matter to Banglanews on Friday morning.
 
He said some miscreants hacked Manik in front of his house besides Fazilpur Bazar around 10:30pm, leaving him critically injured.

Locals rescued Manik but he died on the way to Feni Sadar Hospital. His body was kept in a hospital morgue. 

However, the motive behind the murder is not yet known, the police official added. 

Union Jubo League general secretary Mosharraf Hossain Miyazi said Manik was working committee member of the union unit Jubo League. He had no dispute with anyone.
