Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (July 27) predicted light to moderate and moderately heavy to heavy rainfall or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind in all eight divisions of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am today.
According to the BMD bulletin, light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over Khulna, Barisal and Chattogram divisions.
The existing mild heat wave which is sweeping over Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions and the districts of Tangail, Sylhet and Chuadanga, may abate from some places, it added.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 38.1 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur while today's minimum temperature 25.0 degrees Celsius was recorded in Bandarban.
Rainfall for the last 24 hours commencing 6 am today was recorded 67 mm in Patuakhali.
