The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will organize its 183rd public hearing today (September 7) at the Public Hall in Netrokona district.
The event aims to raise public awareness, improve service delivery in government and autonomous institutions, prevent harassment of service recipients, and combat corruption.
ACC Commissioner (Investigation) Miah Mohammad Ali Akbar Azizi is expected to attend as the chief guest, while Director General (Prevention) Md Akhter Hossain will participate as the special guest.
During the hearing, citizens who have faced harassment or been denied services by various government offices will present their complaints directly to the heads of all government departments in Netrokona in front of the Commission. The ACC will take immediate action on complaints raised to ensure public access to government services and promote integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct among officials.
To encourage active public participation, the ACC conducted a week-long awareness campaign across Netrokona, including loudspeaker announcements, poster and leaflet distribution, information booths, complaint collection, and engagement through various media platforms.
