GAZIPUR: Law enforcers on Thursday filed a law suit against 39 people, including the mayor of Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) MA Mannan, for an arson attack in a passenger bus that burnt eight people on Wednesday night.

Special Branch (SB) Inspector of the district M Sirajul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

On Wednesday night, miscreants blasted petrol bombs in a passenger bus in front of Gazipur Police Lines, leaving eight people burnt.

A case was filed against GGC mayor Professor MA Mannan, who is also an adviser to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, he added.
