JCD urges examinees to besiege Ganabhaban

DHAKA: Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), student wing of BNP, has urged the SSC examinees and other students to besiege Ganabhaban, the official residence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Central JCD president Rajib Ahsan and its general secretary Mohammad Akramul Hasan made the plea in a statement signed by JCD office secretary Abdus Sattar Patwary on Thursday.

The top level leaders of the student organization said that there are some unpleasant steps in life, which are needed to adopt to ensure brighter future.

They also claimed that the ongoing movement is also to secure a bright future for the students.

The JCD leaders in the statement asked to the students and SSC candidates to besiege Ganabhaban so that the ‘illegal’ government resigns quickly.

They also said that the ruling Awami League leaders weep crocodile tears for the students but earlier they called indefinite shutdowns without any valid reasons while they were in opposition.

They also termed AL leaders as ‘liar and fraud’.

JCD president and general secretary also said that the post education life is more miserable in that society where democracy is absent.

Nowadays, the jobs belong to the supporters of Awami League and Chhatra League, they further claimed.

The JCD leaders said that the ‘illegal and autocratic’ government is not concerned about the students of the country. If the government were concerned then they would resign and offer a peaceful environment for the students, they added.

Rajib Ahsan and Akramul Hasan said, “We do student politics. So, the students get first priority to us. We also want that the SSC examination will finish in due time.”

But the incumbent government is trying to foil the movement using the students as tools of politics.
