NARAYANGANJ: Police detained two people, including an activist of Jatiyatabadi Chattra Dal (JCD), student wing of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), with a petrol bomb in Fatulla area under Sadar uapzila of the district on Wednesday night.

The detainees are Rafiqul Islam, a activist of JCD and Gazi Mian.

Fatulla Model Thana Officer-In-Charge (OC) Asaduzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Asaduzzaman said that the detainees came in front of Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium and tried to carry out sabotage there around 11:00pm.

A patrol team of police nabbed them red handed and recovered a petrol bomb from their possession, the OC added.

The 120-hour hartal, enforced by BNP-led 20-party alliance, has rolled into the fifth and final day across the country on Thursday, while nationwide road-rail-waterway blockade entered 37th day amid stray incidents of violence.
