DHAKA: Two police constables were injured in a cocktail blast in front of Eden College in city’s Azimpur area Wednesday evening.

The injured were identified as Abdul Mannan, 45, and M Zakir, 32.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Lalbagh Thana Maniruzzaman said some miscreants blasted a cocktail in the area around 7:30pm, leaving the police members injured.

The injured were first taken to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) and later shifted to the Rajarbagh Police Line Hospital, he added.

The law enforcers were looking into the matter, the OC added.
