DHAKA: Police detained 11 BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and it’s student wing Islami Chhattra Shibir men in 24-hour drive at different parts of the city until Thursday morning.

Masudur Rahman, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) deputy commissioner (media and public relation department) confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The DC said they were held on charge of involving in sabotages at the city’s different places during the continuous hartal and blockade enforced by BNP led 20-party alliance.

Of the arrestees, four are BNP men while the rest are Jamaat-Shibir men, he added.

Police rounded up them in 24-hour drives until 8:00am Thursday.
