DHAKA: Jatiya Party chairman GM Quader said the national council of the party will now be held on December 21. 

He was addressing an organizational meeting arranged by the National Student Society Central Conference Preparation Committee at the Engineers' Institution, Bangladesh (IEB) Old Building on Wednesday (September 11) afternoon.

GM Quader said the student society council will be held by October. There will be a committee through elections.

Jatiya Party Secretary General and Opposition Chief Whip Moshiur Rahman Ranga was present as special guest.

Member Secretary Faisal Didar Dipu moderated the organizing meeting, with Convener of the National Student Society Conference Committee Md Jamal Uddin in the chair. 

Earlier on September 7, the date for the National Council of Jatiya Party was set for November 30.

“The leaders and activists of the party will elect their future leader at the council. I will accept whatever decision they will take,” GM Quader said on that day.
