DHAKA: The ruling Awami League has invited four BNP leaders, including party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir to its upcoming 21st National Council scheduled for Friday (Dec 20).

Besides, BNP’s National Standing Committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed and Mirza Abbas have been invited.

A three-member AL delegation led by sub-committee member Jia Uddin Ahmed Shipu reached the BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office on Thursday (Dec 19) with the invitation cards.

BNP’s Assistant Information and Research Secretary Riaz Uddin Nosu told Banglanews that he accepted the invitation cards on behalf of the four leaders.

Awami League is set to stage its 21st National Council at the Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital tomorrow (Dec 20).
