DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) detained a total of 12 suspected anarchists during separate anti-sabotage drives across the city in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning.

Of the detainees, nine are the leaders-activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and three are leaders-activists of Jamaat-e-Islami.

Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media and public relations) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, confirmed the matter to banglanews.
