Dialogue, if BNP stops violence: Inu Information minister Hasanul Haq Inu

DHAKA: Information minister Hasanul Haq Inu said that they will think about the proposed dialogue to address the current situation, if BNP-led 20-party alliance stops violence.

The minister made this remark in response to the eminent citizens’ letter to the President, Prime Minister and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia for holding the dialogue.

Inu on Wednesday morning was addressing a press conference at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city prior to leave for Singapore for medical treatment.

However, a group of eminent persons called for dialogue to find a way out of the ongoing political crisis.

Inu also said the group in their letter, however, did not mention the violence and acts of sabotage being carried out in the name of political movement. They should talk to Khaleda Zia first about stopping the bloodshed.

Claiming that there are no constitutional and political crises in the country, the minister said the crisis in law and order situation will be solved with iron hands.

Inu is expected to return home in February 16.
