GAIBANDHA: Members of joint forces arrested 23 leaders and activists of BNP and its key ally Jamaat-e-Islami in nightlong drives across the district.

Additional police super (ASP) Mosharraf Hossain said that the law enforcers conducted drives from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning.

They arrested 23 BNP-Jamaat men in the cases of killing people by petrol bombs and creating violence, the ASP said added.

Without disclosing the names of the arrestees, he further said that they (arrestees) will be sent to the court.
