Falu on 5-day fresh remand

DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Wednesday granted five-day fresh remand to Mosaddek Ali Falu, adviser to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, in a cocktail blast case filed with Mirpur Police Station in the city.

Metropolitan Magistrate Tareq Mainul Islam Bhuiyan passed the remand order in the afternoon after Sub-Inspector of Mirpur Thana Rafiqul Islam produced him before the court with 10-day remand plea after completion of his eight-day remand order in two other cases.

Earlier on February 7, Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubur Rahman granted three-day fresh remand to Falu in car vandalism and arson attack cases filed with Badda Police Station.

On February 7, Falu was placed on five-day remand in an arson attack case filed with Khilgaon Thana of the city on January 30.

Plainclothes police picked Falu up from the premises of BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office on February 1.
