4 hurt in Syhlet blasts

SYLHET: At least four persons, including 18-month-old twin brothers, were injured following the blasts of a petrol bomb and three cocktails in Sylhet town on Monday.

The twin brothers Nasir and Hafiz, sons of Mahbubur Rahman, hailing from Gobindaganj village under Chatak upazila of neighboring Sunamganj district and a CNG-auto rickshaw driver were injured at 1:04pm in front of Srihatta Cultural College.

Witness said miscreants, riding on three motorcycles, hurled three cocktails there.

The blasts left the trio injured.

Moreover, an unidentified woman was injured at 12:30pm in front of Aarong at Naya Sharak in the town.

Sources said a group of miscreants hurled a petrol bomb targeting a parked micro-bus where the woman was waiting inside.

After rescuing the woman, locals admitted her to a clinic.

Confirming the incidents, Kotwali Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Asaduzzaman said that police forces have been sent to the places.
