DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), in several drives, detained 13 men of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and its students wing Islami Chhatra Shibir from different places of the capital on Tuesday.

Of the detainees, four are activists of Jamaat and Shibir while nine are BNP men.

Police picked up them during last 24 hours drives till Tuesday morning.

DMP deputy commissioner (media) Masudur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
 
They were detained on charges of planning and carrying out sabotages during hartal and blockade hours, he said.
