Ruling Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif has tested positive for coronavirus.

His personal assistant Arifur Rahman Tutul confirmed the news to Banglanews on Wednesday. 

Tutul said the Awami League leader's test result came out positive for the virus on Wednesday. He is currently in isolation at home and receiving treatment there.

He also sought blessings from countrymen for quick recovery, Tutul added.
