Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has tested positive for coronavirus.

However, the minister is feeling well and did not develop any symptoms of the virus, said a foreign ministry press release on Wednesday. 

The result came out positive on Tuesday night after Momen submitted sample for routine Covid test ahead of his Nigeria tour to attend the 47th foreign ministry-level conference of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the release said.

The minister's Nigeria tour has been cancelled and he is currently in isolation at home. 

Moreover, Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen has also tested positive for the virus and staying in home isolation.
