The ruling Awami League started distribution of the party’s nomination papers on Tuesday among mayoral aspirants to contest in the fourth phase elections to 56 municipalities slated for February 14. 

Awami League Office Secretary Barrister Biplob Barua made the disclosure through a press release. 

He said interested leaders and activists will be able to collect and submit nomination papers from and to party President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s political office in Dhanmondi from January 5 to January 11.

Candidates must bring a photocopy of his/her NID card while collecting the application form.

Applications should be collected and submitted by the candidate himself or through a qualified representative in compliance with proper health guidelines without any kind of public gatherings.
