The condition of BNP Standing Committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed has deteriorated.
BNP chairperson’s press wing member Shairul Kabir Khan said it on Tuesday afternoon.
Shairul said Barrister Moudud Ahmed was admitted to the coronary care unit (CCU) of Evercare Hospital on December 29 after he fell ill.
A six-member medical board was formed, headed by Prof Dr Shabuuddin Talukder, for Moudud Ahmed’s treatment, he said, adding that Moudud's Covid-19 test report came out negative twice.
Meanwhile, BNP senior secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir talked to the head of the medical board to learn about the condition of Moudud Ahmed, he said.
Moudud Ahmed's wife Hasna Moudud asked countrymen to pray for his speedy recovery.
