Former minister and Awami League leader Khaledur Rahman Tito passed away at the age of 76 in Jashore on Sunday morning.
He breathed his last at Jashor’s Combined Military Hospital around 10:30 am while undergoing treatment.
Khaledur Rahman Tito's cousin Mustaq Hossain Shimba, principal of Jashore College, confirmed the death news to Banglanews.
Mustaq said Khaledur Rahman tested positive for coronavirus a few months ago. He returned home from Dhaka after recovering from the infection. Later, he fell ill again and visited India for treatment.
On Thursday evening, Tito was taken to Jeshore Medical College Hospital as he felt sick. Later he was shifted to Jashore Combined Military Hospital (CMH) after his condition deteriorated.
