A Dhaka court has rejected a defamation case filed against former Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Sayeed Khokon.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah issued the order as plaintiff Kazi Anisur Rahman did not appear in the court on Tuesday.

Plaintiff of another case Advocate Md Sarwar Alam withdrew the case on January 12.

Earlier on January 11, two defamation cases were filed against Khokon with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury
